What is Odalie?
Odalie is a voice companion for older people. She can talk about the day, news, music and games, and bring family photos and stories into conversation.
How does my family add memories?
Add a photo and a few sentences on a phone: who was there, where it was taken and anything you remember. You don't need to write a full life story.
Does Odalie test someone's memory?
No. A story is an invitation, not a quiz. Odalie is designed not to correct, score or test someone's recollection.
Will Odalie make up personal stories?
Personal details come from what family has shared or what Odalie has been told. If she doesn't know, she says so and asks rather than inventing a memory.
Can someone stop or change a conversation?
Yes. They can stop a conversation with a word, ask Odalie not to raise a topic again, or ask for something to be forgotten. These controls work by voice.
Where is our family's information kept?
Odalie is built in the UK, and the website says family data stays in the UK and Europe. The family's library is exportable and deletable.
Is Odalie a care or emergency service?
No. Odalie is a companionship and cognitive-stimulation service, not a medical device, a carer, a treatment provider, an emergency service or a monitoring service.
How much does Odalie cost?
The website doesn't publish a price yet. Odalie is planned as a family subscription with no advertising. Send an enquiry to ask about joining and current details.
Can we join in England or Scotland?
Odalie is inviting a small number of first families in England and Scotland. Use the contact form to tell the team about your family and ask about joining.
