Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to the information you give us on this website, odalie.ai. It's written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

Who we are

The website is run by ODALIE LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, based in London. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us at hello@odalie.ai.

This notice covers the website only. Families who join Odalie receive a separate notice about the companion service itself, before anything starts.

What we collect, and why

• When you send an enquiry (the form on the contact page or the home page): your name and email address, and anything else you choose to add, such as a phone number, where you live, who Odalie might be for and your message. We use it only to reply to you and to talk about joining. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and taking steps you ask for before any agreement.
• When you ask Odalie a question on the site: the text you type is sent to our AI provider to write the answer. We don't ask for your name, and we don't keep these questions linked to you. Please don't type personal details into it.
• Analytics, only if you say yes: with your permission, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies only if you allow it. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Advertising features are switched off.
• Technical information: like any website, our server receives your IP address and basic browser details when you visit. We use this to keep the site running and secure and to stop abuse, such as spam through the form.

We don't sell your information, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't send newsletters.

Cookies

The site itself works without cookies. Your choice about analytics is remembered in your browser so we don't ask again. Google Analytics cookies (their names start with “_ga”) are set only after you click “Allow analytics”, and choosing “No thanks” removes them.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of service providers who handle information on our behalf and only as we instruct:

• Hetzner, which hosts our website and server;
• Supabase, which hosts the database where enquiries are stored;
• IONOS, which provides our email;
• Anthropic, whose AI writes the answers to questions asked on the site;
• Google, for analytics, only if you allow it.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the law requires for international transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to reply to you and to follow up about joining, and then delete them. If you become a member, the service's own notice applies. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or object to our use of it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Just email hello@odalie.ai; we'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
